My name is Dean Holden, I am 57 years old, I have led a crazy lifestyle for 39 years. This blog is all about how it started, some of the mad things I have done, and how I am dealing with the situation that as now been thrown my way and will lead me to a SOBER life. I hold my hands up and admit I could have led my life a lot better but when you are brought up around alcohol, pubs and associated life it’s hard to get out of that mad circle.

During the course of my blog no names are mentioned to protect identities, although no doubt some of my friends that may read this could recognise the particular event.

I am not after any sympathy, the reason I am where I am is because I ignored everything and just did what I wanted, but if I can help somebody out there going through the same it will mean a lot to me.

All I ask is please don’t judge me I am a better person now and in a better place because for the first time I have listened and taken the advice, the second option was no option at all, I have a lot to live for.
